Some game design exercises I made with board games I like. These variant rules can be downloaded and played if you have the base game and add a few components.

Ticket to Ride: New York (Spidey Expansion)
As Spider-Man swings around the map as red and blue cards appear, players try to take good pictures of him to score extra points.
Ticket to Ride: London (Knightbus Expansion)
Collect shared tickets for extra points as you move the Knight Bus from the Harry Potter saga in the traffic around London busiest areas.
Ticket to Ride: Amsterdam (Tulipmania Expansion)
Collect tulip bulbs for points but decide when to cash in the points as tulips become more and more lucrative, but is this speculative bubble going to burst soon?
Pandemic Hot Zone: North America (Antivaxxer Expansion)
As this new implementation of Pandemic missed some feature to make it feel somehow unique, I designed this variant to spice it up. Please keep in mind that I have no political intent to support nor attack the Anti-vaxxer movement with this document. Treat this simply as a game variant.
